Owl Case

An excercise in small through-dovetails, the Owl Case is a key and wallet holder intended for mounting by the front door. A number of woods were used in its construction: white oak case, spalted maple door, reclaimed Alaskan yellow cedar drawer fronts (about 200 years of growth rings in a 3 inch wide drawer front!), yellow poplar drawer frames, silver linden drawer sides and bottoms, and maple case back. Rare earth magnets are mounted in the roof of the case to hang keys. Two drawers and a shelf keep things organized and out of sight. L 8 x W 8 x H 14.
